Job description

The Muskie School of Public Service at the University of Southern Maine (USM) is pleased to announce an opening for a full-time Research Associate I for the Capacity Building Center for Tribes.
The Research Associate I supports tribal child welfare product research and development, dissemination and communication, and data collection and reporting activities for the Capacity Building Center for Tribes. The Research Associate I develops and manages small-to medium-sized research, technical assistance, communication, and evaluation projects independently, manages components of larger, complex projects under the direction of the Project Director, and makes methodological and analytic contributions to more complex projects.

This is a grant funded, full-time position with an annual salary up to $65,000 commensurate with experience located on our Portland Campus

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with four years' experience in child and family research, policy, and/or services or related field.
  • A minimum of one year experience working with American Indian/Alaska Native tribes/communities.
