Responsibilities
Receives direction from the PI, supervisor and research technologists. Works cooperatively with other laboratory personnel and must be responsive to requests for assistance from all levels of allied health staff in the laboratory.
Performs various support functions in research laboratory using proper procedures to avoid the risk of laboratory-acquired infection or sample-to-sample contamination. Maintains and cleans equipment and the facility; maintains and restocks supplies; and maintains computer database. Works under direct supervision. Attention to detail is essential while dealing with multiple tasks. Flexibility is important in adjusting to frequent changes in work volume. (011380)
Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or GED.
