Sells beer and other beverages to assigned on-premise accounts in order to meet company objectives for volume and distribution. Encourages and influences customers to use P.O.S. promotion display items.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Reviews daily route sheets in order to prepare for daily on-premise sales calls.
- Travels through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective bar and restaurant customers to solicit orders.
- Rides along with suppliers and brewery representatives to visit accounts.
- Quotes prices to retailers for orders ensuring pricing is appropriate.
- Discusses any special deals or promotions with customers.
- Provides sampling of new products introduced in the area to on-premise accounts in order to increase sales.
- Conducts promotions at on-premise accounts and works special events as needed.
- Takes inventory of current stock each sales visit in order to determine future reorder needs.
- Maintains proper rotation of current stock to ensure product freshness.
- Persuades accounts to use P.O.S. display items to promote sale of company products.
- Ensures P.O.S. displayed in the accounts are up-to-date and in working order.
- Puts up signs, displays, and other thematic P.O.S. when necessary.
- Completes requests for signage and obtains a supervisor’s signature.
- Checks brand positioning in coolers and draft handle placements.
- Keeps Draft surveys updated on a consistant basis.
- Assist in helping tell sell accounts when instructed.
- Communicates with On-Premise Sales Manager on a constant basis to discuss sales objectives, competitive activity and resolve customer problems.
- Maintains product knowledge of all brands and packages that J.J. Taylor carries.
- Maintains knowledge of promotional pricing each month, on-going promotions, and any other programs that the company is promoting.
- Ensures that all orders are submitted and delivered on time.
- Resolves any problems on-premise accounts may have in relation to ordering, deliveries, out-of-stock items, and draft malfunctions.
- Completes weekly and monthly objective recaps, incentive tracking, and MBO’s.
- Communicates with route drivers in order to resolve customer needs.
- Follows all company rules, policies and procedures when attending promotions and events at on-premise accounts.
- Is responsible for successful completion of Brew U Training modules.
