Repossession Coordinator

Join our dynamic team at Garden Savings Federal Credit Union’s branch in Parsippany! We are seeking a Full-Time Repossession Inventory Coordinator. With a legacy dating back to 1968, we take pride in our proven track record of strong work ethic and delivering unparalleled service to our members.

Summary:

Responsible for handling the day-to-day administrative activities for all repossessed vehicles. Work with repossession agents and dealerships to recover assets. Report on and maintain Garden Savings FCU’s repossession inventory.

Primary Functions:

• Update inventory log reflecting current status of inventory.
• Coordinate transportation on all repossessed vehicles.
• Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained by our dealer network; insurance and registrations are up to date.
• Prepare and send all payoff statements to the dealer.
• Notate all efforts in collections system.
• Ensure adherence to credit union collection procedures and all practices are in accordance with FDCPA.

Skills and Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred previous banking experience (credit union or bank).
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.
• High Integrity and a strong work ethic is required.
• Bilingual - Portuguese or Spanish is preferred.
• Willingness to travel locally to meet with members and vendors.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft (MS Office) environment and all job-related software programs.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Professional office environment with moderate sound.
• Flexibility to work: Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., one late night per week, and alternating Saturdays 8:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
• Ability to move around the building as well as travel to vendors, other branches, off-site training, and/or company meetings as needed.
• Assist members in person and by telephone.
• Ability to use office equipment.
