Position Summary:

We are searching for a detail-oriented, dependable technician to join our repair team. The technician's responsibilities include replacing and servicing electronic devices and systems, diagnosing problems, and troubleshooting devices and equipment, running tests and logging repair details and reports, updating, and improving existing systems, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment. You should be able to collaborate with other professionals and be able to make useful recommendations wherever possible.

To be successful as a technician, you should demonstrate strong self-discipline and a passion for technology. Outstanding technicians possess sound knowledge of their trade and superb active listening skills.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting, analyzing, and troubleshooting electronic systems and equipment.
  • Reading repair manuals and liaising with other professionals.
  • Knowledge of electronic, board level assembly process
  • Ability to follow safety regulations as it relates to handling and repairing devices with lasers.
  • Proficient in identifying common surface mounted electronic components (SMD)
  • Proficient in soldering and identifying good/bad solder joints.
  • Repairing or replacing faulty equipment.
  • Fabricating any components required.
  • Inspecting, analyzing, and troubleshooting desktop computer hardware and software. (Windows and Mac)
  • Work with external vendors to RMA broken computer hardware
  • Configure and troubleshoot iOS, iPads, and iPhones
  • Reimage desktop computers
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree, certification, or license may be required.
  • Experience as a technician.
  • Ability to multitask and liaise with professionals in different fields.
  • Ability to explain problems simply and clearly.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and excel
  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to follow health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills.
