Repair Material Handler - Full Time - Easley (SC), United States
Join our Industry team within Flow Equipment division in United States as Repair Material Handler to help us take to the next level. As a Repair Material Handler you will stage parts for upcoming jobs at weld, machining, and assembly areas. Organize incoming and repaired components for repair orders.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Unload, move/store a variety of materials, parts/products.
• Unload incoming materials, check, report shortages/damaged materials.
• Move to storage area, store, stack and arrange.
• Move materials between workstations.
• Operate power lift truck in moving materials, stacking loaded pallets making frequent trips to storage areas/storage buildings.
• Load materials, parts/product for shipment.
• Interface with other departments.
• Reports shortages and incomplete orders.
• Selects appropriate shipping containers and packing materials.
• Operates standard manual and automatic equipment used in the process.
• Stacks shipments on skids as required and take shipments to shipping dock.
• Receives and unpacks materials and supplies.
• Checks receipts against purchase order for proper shipment, shortages, damages, or defects.
• Moves or expedites materials to proper area or storage location.
• Operates crane, hoist, or power truck to move or store materials.
• Safety obligations:
  
  • All employees understand and can explain the structure and objectives of the SBP.
  • All employees follow the safety rules.
  • All employees have "the right and duty to intervene" in the event a safety concern becomes evident. In addition, acceptance of an intervention should be accepted in a positive manner as it could have prevented an accident.
  • All employees are required to comply with all work instructions, policies, and posted signs or instructions regarding safety, including but not always limited to proper use of required PPE.
  • Follows procedures according to ISO 9001/14001/45001

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Works overtime as required to support production and customer demand.
• Maintain 5's Responsibility for assigned areas.
• To keep empty pallets, crates, and other packing material out of production areas when not being used.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None

What you bring to Sulzer:

• High School education required with one year experience in related area.
• Minimum of 3 years training or work experience in material handling, including forklift operations, hoist, pallet jack and other equipment as needed.
• Computer skills (Micro Soft Office products, SAP, Cam-Line, Excel, and Word).
• Forklift Operator Licensed.
• Over-head crane experience

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs (excess of 50 lbs, use of slings, hoist or cranes required).
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 12hrs).
• Must be able to use required PPE for all operations included in the scope of this job including painting (some protective equipment may present problems for persons with claustrophobia or asthma)
