Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced REO (Real Estate Owned) Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing REO properties, including asset valuation, marketing, negotiation, and closing. Responsibilities:
- Property Management: Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of REO properties to ensure they are in marketable condition. Being able to perform maintenance on the property is also a significant advantage, as it helps minimize the overall cost of home repairs and ensures that the real estate asset is well-maintained for prospective buyers.
- Marketing and Sales Support: Assisting in the marketing and sale of REO properties, which may involve coordinating open houses, creating marketing materials, and working with real estate agents.
- Administrative Tasks: Handling paperwork, maintaining records, and managing communications related to REO properties.
- Portfolio: Manage a portfolio of REO properties from acquisition through disposition.
- Evaluations: Conduct property evaluations and determine optimal pricing strategies.
- Stay Current: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans to attract potential buyers.
- Negotiations: Assisting in negotiations with potential buyers and coordinating the sale process.
- Scheduling: Coordinate property inspections, repairs, and maintenance as needed.
- Reviewing: Oversee the closing process and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Attentive to details: On top of detailed records and reports on property status, transactions, and financials.
- Client Communication: Communicating with the lender or financial institution that owns the REO properties, providing updates, and addressing any concerns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in REO management or related real estate roles.
- Strong knowledge of real estate transactions, contracts, and legal requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in real estate software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- REO certification or designation (e.g., REO Specialist Certification) is a plus.
