Rental/Yard Assistant

Cate Equipment Company has been in business for over 85 years, and provides equipment sales, rental, service, and parts in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, and Wyoming.

We have an immediate opening for a RENTAL/YARD ASSISTANT at our main Salt Lake City location. This is a dual role:

1) As the RENTAL ASSISTANT, this person will be responsible for helping customers on the phone and in person throughout the rental process: inquiry, quote, pick-up, return, check-in, loading/unloading, paperwork, etc. This person will also serve as the backup for the rental manager.

2) As the YARD ASSISTANT, this person will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, organized equipment yard, with attention to detail and an eye for presentation. We are looking for an individual that is willing to take initiative and is proactively on the lookout for areas that need attention.

This is a full-time position, M-F, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Candidate must be able to pass a full-panel drug screen upon hire, and at any time during employment.

General computer literacy, experience with MS Office, and an excellent grasp of written and spoken English is required, as candidate will be responsible for communicating via email, phone, and in person, on a daily basis.

Candidate should be dependable, outgoing, and enjoy working with others. This person will interact continuously with customers, vendors, and co-workers from all backgrounds.
