Department Overview
PG&E’s Transportation Services team is responsible for operating one of the top 20 largest commercial and top 3 largest utility fleets in the U.S. Management responsibilities cover all aspects of PG&E’s owned and rental vehicles & equipment fleet, from design to disposition. The team is comprised of multiple operating departments including Field Operations, Engineering and Business Operations. Operating departments within Transportation Services are responsible for enterprise-wide management of over 13,500+ vehicles & equipment, regulatory and preventative maintenance compliance, expense & capital planning, budget and asset optimization, fuel procurement, clean air, and alternate fuel initiatives.
Position Summary
Coordinates, services, and supports all PG&E clients by providing them supplemental vehicle needs. Coordinates with rental vendors to acquire vehicle and/or construction equipment, components, and attachments. Analyzes and reviews utilization reports regarding Rental and Pool information. Provides support and assistance to Pool Coordinators.
PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $31.73 to $47.12.
Job Responsibilities
- Arranges rental reservations for all PG&E clients regarding light/heavy duty vehicles and/or equipment.
- Collaborates with rental vendors to acquire external ad hoc reports regarding vehicle needs, equipment, inventory, pricing, and other information.
- Coordinates with the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Regulatory Compliance to ensure safety compliance of all rental vehicles and equipment.
- Coordinates with vendors to acquire rental vehicle equipment, components, and attachments.
- Generates utilization reports to analyze Rental and Pool information.
- Provides interpretation and assistance to all PG&E customers and clients regarding rental vehicles and equipment, including company Rental and Pool policies and vehicle/equipment safety, handling, and usage.
- Provides support and assistance to Pool Coordinators.
- Reviews and processes all rental requests, forms, and documents to ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
- 2 years job-related experience
Desired:
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years job-related experience
