The Role

StarRez is growing rapidly, and our Customer Success team are looking for a talented Renewals Analyst to join our North American team.

The Renewals Analyst will assist the Revenue team in contract negotiations, building reports and analyzing key metrics to help our management team make informed decisions. This position will be responsible for processing renewals and following a renewal and amendment process developed by the team. The ideal candidate for this role has the customer support/success knowledge to develop and deliver winning scenarios for both StarRez and the customer as well as enable informed and targeted decision making.

Location: Remote - US


What You Will Own

  • Work with Customers to negotiate contract renewal terms.
  • Project manage the renewal experience in close partnership with assigned Customer Success Manager and Account Executive to provide a seamless customer experience.
  • Work closely with the Client Success and Sales team to provide client account analysis and support to help drive contract renewal.
  • Retain and increase subscription revenue in existing customer accounts by positioning packages and price updates.
  • Migrate existing customers from our legacy plans onto new packaging and licensing models.
  • Renewal Contracts are reviewed and submitted in a timely manner, ensuring contract accurately reflects customer data, sales credits, all products to be covered, correct versions, coverage dates, consolidations, etc.
  • Proactively identify lengthier renewal scenarios and maintain high on-time renewal rate.
  • Update renewal forecast on a weekly basis and report up to management.
  • Analyze and report customer renewal data utilizing Salesforce and other enterprise software.
  • Proficiently work within Salesforce.com and maintain accurate account details, notes, and contact records.
  • Create client proposals and contracts for all existing customer renewals.
  • Continuously iterate and provide customer feedback on the renewal experience.
  • Answer incoming client renewal inquiries and make client follow-up calls to help answer questions and or assist contract renewals.
  • Prepare and analyze customer P&L account using various business intelligence tools.
  • Must be able to maintain a consistent workflow and meet deadlines, both routine and non-routine.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in renewals, sales, or account management
  • Experience working with a CRM (Salesforce Preferred)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfortable with negotiation and having conversations with procurement departments.
  • High confidence in managing customer quoting, contracts, and terms.
  • Strong MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong customer-facing acumen and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and to help manage a high volume of accounts.
  • Able to build relationships quickly and work across many cross-functional teams.
  • Must be self- motivated, goal-oriented, able to work independently with little oversight to deliver on deadlines and ensure timeliness of renewals.
  • Ambition to look for opportunities to expand the scope of the role and take on new projects.
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
