Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Renewable Energy Engineer with a strong background in project management to lead our Renewable Energy projects in West Africa. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and overseeing projects that aim to integrate Renewable Energy solutions into the regional grid, ensuring these initiatives meet their objectives on time, within budget, and with the highest impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Renewable Energy projects, focusing on solar, wind, hydro, and biomass technologies.
  • Manage project lifecycles, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring alignment with both Sanford Federal's goals and the Power Africa initiative's objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, local governments, and communities to ensure successful project implementation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Assess and mitigate project risks, and manage project budgets and resources efficiently.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends in Renewable Energy technologies and project management methodologies to continually enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Renewable Energy project development and management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong technical expertise in Renewable Energy systems and their integration into existing energy infrastructures.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in a multicultural environment.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites within West Africa and work in challenging environments.
