Compensation: $ 35.00/hour
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
Preform month end closing duties
Review sales division trial balances.
Complete and review necessary month end journal entries
Review and research of activity related to travel and entertainment spending.
Calculate and process royalty and rebate expenses related to sales activity.
Allocate manufacturing spending variances to sales division income statement.
Analyze sales division income statement against historical results.
Record, monitor, and analyze various project spending related to the management of Rich’s product
portfolio.
Complete month end financial reporting
Assist with the preparation of Rich’s monthly financial statements.
Prepare product and customer profitability statements for sales division decision support.
Provide guidance and insight of Rich’s standard financial operating reports.
Lead maintenance and enhancement efforts of Rich’s financial reporting systems (software applications
include: SAP R/3, SAP Business Warehouse, Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, and Oracle
Hyperion Planning).
Lead support of general ledger reconciliation and analysis
Update and reconcile balance sheet accounts of sales division.
Track and reconcile intercompany activity among Rich’s subsidiaries
Assist with the quarterly review of sales division balance sheet reconciliations to support corporate journal
entry policy.
Provide sales division leadership with reporting and analysis of sales and marketing spend
Prepare monthly analysis of sales division trade show and sales support spending.
Report tracking of monthly administrative costs against annual budget.
Support reporting of sales division’s advertising spending
Create cost objects to track sales division’s projects.
Set up and track manufacturing spending related to new/experimental products.
Publish consolidated monthly advertising spending report.
Research and resolve spending variances to management decision making.
Support finance team with mergers and acquisition efforts
Participate in due diligence projects for food company targets.
Audit balance sheet and assess financial risk of food company targets.
Assist with integration efforts of acquired companies in Rich’s financial systems.
Develop and report customer profit and loss statements
Reconcile and review customer profitability with sales division team.
Publish bi-annual strategic customer profit and loss statements for sales division and executive leadership
Assist with year-end audit activities
Prepare year-end audit schedules for balance sheet accounts.
Prepare variance analysis related to revenue and expense groups.
Share insight and analysis with Rich’s independent auditor.
Review audit packages of various Rich’s subsidiaries
Support ad-hoc projects as required
Complete applicable governmental censuses and food industry questionnaires.
Provide quarterly reporting for Rich’s product commercialization team.
Participate in other projects in the Rich’s organization.
Qualifications:
CPA certification PREFERRED
•Bachelors Degree in Accounting - PREFERRED
•Minimum 5 years relevant experience
•Solid understanding of GAAP & FASB pronouncements
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time and self-management skills; ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines
• Advanced computer skills, including demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Suite, especially Excel
• Experience with SAP or large-scale ERP is strongly preferred
