Position: Entry level Data Analyst
Reports to: Clinical Supervisor
Start Date: January 2024–ExpandMD
Compensation: The Data Analyst position will be a part of a remotely located team where they will review metrics from multiple home health devices and assist practices in daily patient monitoring between doctor visits.
The compensation is based upon billable units generated for the practice. The base pay will start at $10 per hour. A schedule of fees will be provided to the candidate during the training process which includes the incentives that could equal to $15 per hour.
Will receive comprehensive paid training.
Hours: M-F normal office hours with considerable flexibility. Some weekend work can be scheduled at the discretion of the individual.
Location: Work from home.
Required Technology: Computer and home internet service required.
Purpose of the position
The healthcare industry has drastically changed in the last 5 years, especially with regards to population health, prevention and disease management. The recent changes brought by the Affordable Care Act and Medicare laws have been put in place to help patients better self-manage their conditions.
Our purpose is not only to help improve the state of health in a difficult population (Medicare Beneficiaries with chronic conditions), but to help remove the burden of extensive care management and coordination from the doctors. Our program will improve the health of their patients and help them have more productive patient visits.
Many of these skills will be learned in the hiring and training process:
- Acts as a patient advocate and active care team member as an extension of the Primary Care Provider office, always maintaining privacy and confidentiality of all protected information.
- Communicates with designated in-office program liaison when patient requests/requires clinical judgment.
- All communication with a patient will include monthly phone calls in regards to their satisfaction with their devices and the program. Along with any follow up calls for patient adherence and/or troubleshooting of their devices.
- Performs all aspects of patient communication in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of confusion.
- Communicates appropriately and clearly to coworkers, licensed personnel, physicians, and physician office staff.
- Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity; identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious or spiritual needs of patients and family.
- Interacts professionally with patients and family.
- Meets current standards and policies for documentation of all communications and interactions with patients and their family, licensed personnel, provider, and office staff.
- Maintains established company policies and procedures, objectives, performance improvement program.
- Maintains a virtually safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with the company tone and model.
- Interacts in a professional manner, directs questions appropriately; refers patient problems to office
- Maintains a good working relationship with all staff members of the organization.
- Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized, and function under stressful situations.
- Provide appropriate responses to the patient, staying in control with a calming demeanor in emergency or physically stressful situations.
- Documents patient care information and maintains an accurate medical record.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

- HIPAA training or certification (Will be provided if needed)
