What You'll Do

Develop and execute client-specific implementation strategies, projects including technology components related to new or custom capabilities, develop customized customer service models, and successfully handle post-sale activities to retain large group customers. Lead a group of internal subject matter experts and drive the coordination and delivery of all end-to-end aspects of onboarding. Improve the onboarding experience using LEAN problem-solving techniques.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Drive and develop a customized implementation plan for each new National Account, Mid-Market or Regional sized policyholder; initiate and lead projects to identify and resolve implementation transition issues specific to each client.
  • Serve as point person, both internally and externally, to ensure efficiency and consistency throughout our implementations.
  • Gain insight into clients' culture, priorities, and goals to design and implement dynamic solutions.
  • Effectively convey diverse client needs and requests internally, driving the resources needed for successful implementations.
  • Respond to questions, provide requested documentation, and orchestrate internal process changes to fulfill client and broker requests.
  • Facilitate development of employee communications to drive overarching enrollment strategy.
  • Coordinate and manage multiple projects with demanding time constraints while meeting changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Partner with Implementation leadership to drive operational efficiencies to drive results.
  • Analyze work processes to develop and recommend workflow improvements.
  • Perform meeting preparation activities and present information to customers for finalist meetings and implementation presentations.


The Skills and Background You'll Need

Education: Bachelor's in Business, Communications, or other applicable and/or related field.

Experience & Skills:
  • 5 years group insurance experience with progressive responsibility and an emphasis in project management, benefits administration, large case management, enrollment technology, or the equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Experience with direct customer interaction including HR Departments and brokers preferred.
  • Demonstrated product expertise and the ability to learn new products.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, planning, prioritizing, decision-making, and organization skills.
  • Proven ability to respond to changing circumstances and expectations readily.
  • Excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interface with various levels of management and leadership.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management skills and a proven ability to multi-task effectively.

3. Professional certification required: Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) certification preferred.

Physical Demands:

1. Minimal travel up to 5%

The Standard's package also includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off.

Salary Range:
$71,000.00 - $104,000.00
