Join our growing Fuel Sales team! Ports Petroleum Company, Inc. is seeking passionate individuals who have at least 3 years of experience in the fuel industry. In this role, the sales representative will manage an existing book of business, prospect customers, and pursue different levels of organizations to close sales. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, results-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Developing new accounts in current service areas as well as growing in new territories
- Maintaining and growing existing accounts by visiting customers
- Strengthening personable relationships with current and future customers
- Pricing orders for customers
- Working with the logistics team to ensure top-notch customer service
- Learning and operating CRM (customer relationship management) software
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the fuel industry
- Prior sales experience and knowledge
- Highly motivated, self-starter, with the ability to multitask
- High energy, positive attitude, and determined
- Ability to work well individually, as well as in a team setting
- Ability to learn and retain product-specific information
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to solve problems collaboratively and individually
- Critical thinker with analytical skills to project future customer needs
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excel, email, etc.
- Required travel inside sales territory, roughly 75%
