Our client is seeking an experienced EDI Specialist to join their IT department. The EDI Specialist implements and supports the company's integration between customers, third party partners and enterprise systems, monitoring traffic to identify issues, and recommend and promptly implement solutions.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Infor M3, or navigating within a similar ERP, to understand and follow business processes and work flows, while testing, troubleshooting, and completing other EDI related tasks. The candidate must have prior experience working with a third-party EDI Service Provider, preferably Orderful and experience with the Orderful Platform and Rules Engine tool, and managing that relationship to ensure EDI priorities are executed and continuously improved. The EDI Specialist must have prior experience working with a company where inventory management is the center of their business and they should have a thorough understanding of EDI documents in the 800 series and 900 series, including 810, 850, 855, 856, 990, 997, 945, 940, 944, 943, etc.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute onboarding process for all new EDI trading partners, coordinating across trading partners, internal teams and EDI service providers following customer time lines.
  • Communicate effectively with 3PLs to resolve EDI errors and identify root cause, ensuring EDI mappings are modified when needed.
  • Monitor daily inbound and outbound EDI transactions to ensure a timely flow of orders and related data both in ERP and EDI software.
  • Troubleshoot all errors, determine the root cause, and resolve in a timely manner, especially when errors impact invoicing and Accounts Receivable.
  • Work with team to develop or modify EDI flows, including data mapping logic, data transformation logic and implementing business rules.
  • Coordinate with broader IT team when troubleshooting, especially if changes are needed in the ERP and/or other systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with broader IT team in responding to EDI issues that are reported through the IT ticketing system.
  • Monitor errors for EDI messages in MEC/ION in Infor M3 ERP
  • Troubleshoot issues related to EDI error transactions and resend transactions on time to avoid penalties.
  • Document existing and new integrations using detailed design document.

Other Required Responsibilities:

  • Participate in multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Participate in prioritization discussions.
  • Participate in management of EDI Documentation, and system architecture and business process flow diagrams.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining EDI flows and troubleshooting and resolving errors.
  • Experience required with EDI documents in the 800 series and 900 series. Experience with EDI invoicing and troubleshooting strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing or modifying Business Rules and EDI flows, including data mapping logic, data transformation logic.
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP systems. Experience with Infor M3 / Cloud Suite Food & Beverage preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with EDI Service Providers. Experience with Orderful EDI Service Provider preferred.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks to completion in a fast-paced environment.
  • Software development or API experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with supply chain processing including Customer POs, Inventory Management, Shipping, and Invoicing.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is in the range of $75,000 to $85,000 annually. The actual salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined by the hiring company and is contingent upon the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, and skills.
