Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Remote High School AP Calculus and Statistics Tutor. As a tutor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality online instruction and support to high school students preparing for Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus and Statistics exams. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mathematics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage and motivate students in a virtual learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct Virtual Tutoring Sessions:
• Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions for high school students studying AP Calculus and Statistics.
• Utilize online platforms and tools to facilitate virtual learning experiences.
• Develop Customized Learning Plans:
• Assess students' strengths and weaknesses in the subject matter.
• Design personalized learning plans to address individual student needs and learning styles.
• Deliver Comprehensive Instruction:
• Cover key topics, concepts, and skills required for success in AP Calculus and Statistics exams.
• Clarify complex concepts and ensure students grasp fundamental principles.
• Assign and Review Practice Materials:
• Assign relevant homework, practice exams, and exercises to reinforce learning.
• Provide constructive feedback on completed assignments to guide improvement.
• Monitor Progress and Adjust Strategies:
• Track students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
• Identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to address challenges.
• Answer Student Questions:
• Respond promptly to student inquiries and provide clear explanations.
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Stay Informed About Curriculum Changes:
• Stay updated on changes to the AP Calculus and Statistics curriculum.
• Incorporate any modifications into the tutoring sessions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Previous experience teaching or tutoring AP Calculus and Statistics.
• Strong understanding of the AP exam format, content, and scoring criteria.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective online instruction.
• Familiarity with virtual learning platforms and tools.

Schedule:

• Flexible hours based on the availability of both the tutor and the students.
• Ability to accommodate different time zones.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
