Position Summary
Primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently remove snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, parking lots, and roadways on assigned properties.
Responsibilities
I. Duties- Work to assure quality and timely completion of snow and ice removal.
- Operate Snow Removal Equipment in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
- Be sensitive and respectful of Reliable Property Services' equipment and customer's property at all times.
- Identify problems at the work site and follow through appropriately.
- Serve as a model Reliable Property Services' employee especially in regards to promptness, language and dress.
- Display honesty and respect at the work site, when working with coworkers, customers, and other Reliable Property Services employees.
- Arrive at designated facility/property on time ready to perform duties.
- Follow proper Company policies and procedures at all times.
- Set the standards for a quality company image that invites customers to repeat their business.
- Communicate constructively with customers and supervisor.
IV. Safety
- Complete company safety training program.
- Dress appropriately for winter storm conditions.
- Participate in maintaining a safe and secure work environment for employees and customers at all times.
- Wear proper PPE while operating equipment.
- Report any repairs or maintenance requirements needed on equipment to supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
- Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.
- Must have a positive attitude, patience, and good follow-through skills.
- Must be willing and able to work with deicing materials.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Must have experience working with Snow Removal Equipment such as Bobcats, Front Loaders, snow blowers, walk-behind brooms...
- Must have endurance necessary to perform duties for long periods of time.
- Must be willing and able to work long hours and overtime during a snow storm including holidays, weekends, etc.
