PRIMARY DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participates in regular reviews of reported equipment failures in order to improve on sustainment strategies and System Operational Availability
  • Assists in identifying form-fit-function (FFF) replacements and engineering solutions for obsolete and non-procurable components
  • Assists in engineering analysis of system Technical Data Packages (TDP).
  • Analyzes system configuration documentation in order to assist in the development of System Reliability Block Diagrams
  • Coordinates with Navy Customers in the development of Engineering Change Recommendations

Requirements
MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field
  • Clear understanding of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories
  • Experience utilizing MATLAB application
  • Experience utilizing Python programming language
  • Knowledge of the HF, VHF, and UHF radio frequency (RF) spectrum
  • Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings, schematics, and datasheets for electronic and RF/microwave equipment
  • Clear written and verbal communications skills
  • Clear understanding of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Travel may be required for this position

DESIRED SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience with the Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE) Increment E/F system, Cryptologic Carry-On Program (CCOP) systems, or other Navy Shipboard Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) system
  • Familiarity with MATLAB or Python for computational analysis
  • CompTIA Security+ certification - Must obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Familiarity with Windows (IOT, SHB, 10, 7) and Linux (REDHAT 6.x and greater or CentOS 6.x and greater) operating systems
  • Experience with operating in a Command Line Interface
