Reimbursement Specialist - REMOTE - OUTSIDE OF CA

We are seeking a full-time Reimbursement Specialist to act as the main liaison for Medicare, Medi-Cal and Private Insurance billing and assists with all requests for information in order for BTBH to receive payment.

• Gather, verify, and document all patient information in preparation for admission, including eligibility and benefits, insurance ID numbers, patient address and phone number, insurance company address and phone number.
• Prepare all invoices and perform collections for Medicare, Medi-Cal and private insurance billing.
• Verify all information that is entered into Epic for accuracy including pay source, physician information, location information, Room and Board rates. Make corrections as needed in a timely manner.
• Perform all eligibility checks, billing & collections for Medicare patients utilizing the Medicare HIQA and DDE systems.

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting or related field from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of three years accounting experience. Healthcare or not-for-profit experience desirable
