Rehabilitation Aide

The Per Diem Rehabilitation Aide is responsible for performing delegated tasks, selected or routine in specific situations.  These duties include but are not limited to preparing the patient and the treatment area, assisting in maintaining treatment areas, assisting in patient care activities, and performing clerical tasks in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with professional practices, ethical standards, and the mission and vision of The Brooklyn Hospital Center.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Satisfactory completion of Rehabilitation Aide Competency Evaluation and job training
• One (1) year experience as a Rehabilitation Aide
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Basic knowledge of rehabilitative machine operation, maintenance, and repairs of same.
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
