Job Summary and Qualifications

The Rehabilitation Services Aide assists with daily departmental administrative tasks and operations. You will transport patients and assist in daily maintenance and cleanliness of the department and its equipment. Under direct supervision, you will assist the registered therapists in patient care activities and therapies, as well as handle the set up and removal of equipment.

• You will ensure the department is neat and orderly throughout the day (i.e. consistently changes linen between patients and replacing/storing equipment and supplies following treatments).
• You will perform routine cleaning of individual therapy equipment, including whirlpools, utilizing appropriate cleaning agents, as per department policies and procedures, between patient use.

• You will ensure adequate inventory of linen, hydrotherapy and modality supplies, forms, and other departmental supplies.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Lawnwood Hospital provides interventional and therapeutic care, including open-heart surgery.
