Job description

The Food Safety/Quality Assurance Regulatory Specialist works with the Quality Assurance Team to ensure product safety and the quality of all products. This position will ensure regulatory compliance with regulatory bodies, customers and QualiTech. Focus will be on assisting in product safety, product quality and supplier and ingredient approval. This position requires a working knowledge of the following: Microsoft Word and Excel, and strong knowledge of Quali-Tech’s products. The FS/QA Regulatory Specialist is responsible for performing all work within established Quality Assurance and corporate safety guidelines. This position will also be a back up to the Customer Service department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain supplier documentation through TraceGains
Maintain Document Control Program
Assist in managing Brill and Adage Formulation set up and changes (AG)
Assist with registration documentation
Assist with food safety and quality needs
Assist with regulatory and analysis reporting
Support label creation and updates
Assist with the Company's Food Safety/Quality Assurance (FS/QA) Program in accordance with customer, regulatory and company requirements
Assist in the compliance with all appropriate third party audits such as Safe Food/Safe Feed and BRC
Maintain production documents including, archival storage & organization, master document storage, certificates of analysis, and Material Data Sheets
Maintain food safety culture in regards to food defense, quality and cGMPs for production and warehousing of products
Back up Customer Service when needed (PTO, Bereavement, etc.).
Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers
Manage customer orders from placement through successful delivery
Prepare shipping documents for international orders
Support and coordinate customer freight delivery work processes within our current freight system
Qualification Requirements:

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required and 3 years’ experience in quality control and assurance in a similar industry; Secondary education in a science related field preferred.
A background in manufacturing and processing environments is desired.
Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information and respond to questions from customers, managers or the general public
Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail, time management and prioritization to achieve results
Strong computer skills
Experience in writing reports, procedures, instructions and/or processes
Ability to react quickly to changing requirements
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals or governmental regulations
Must be able to read and interpret basic written instructions and perform tasks and projects derived from written instructions.
Ability to accommodate flexibility in the work schedule
Ability to think conceptually and creatively
Must be able to work independently with some supervision
