Upholding the highest standards of data accuracy, completeness and transparency is mission critical to JPMorgan Chase External Reporting Controllers. The associate on Regulatory Reporting Controllers Team will play a key role in managing reporting that is materially accurate, complete, and timely for External Data filings required to comply and fulfill regulatory, financial, external, and legal obligations which impact critical bank filings/submissions. The associate will be responsible for analyzing large sets of loan level data, evaluating, and translating reporting instructions into sound and quality data, building, and improving analytical review process, creating, and maintaining documentations on data governance and change control procedures. The associate will work collaboratively with team members and a wide range of partners from the line of business, technology, Controls and Risk on a regular basis and participate high profile assignments.
Job Responsibilities
- Deep dive analysis of the data to ensure accuracy of reporting
- Comfortable analyzing and manipulating medium to large datasets
- Responsible for detailed documentation of Requirements/Requirement interpretation
- Conduct data research to triage issues, identify root cause and recommend solutions to fix data defects
- Assisting with business interpretation of requirements based on internal business operations and liaising with technology teams
- Compile, summarize, and generate information based on authoritative data sources for analytical purposes and presenting to all levels of leadership within the firm
- Lead joint application development (JAD) sessions, determine business requirements and participate in related report / data development projects
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Ability use analytical methods and tools to assist in research to remediate data quality issues and enhance requirements
- Able to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills are critical
- Advanced SQL coding is necessary (e.g., Oracle Analytics Function) for building report prototype
- Able to lead and manage projects
- Possesses strong focus on delivering product value through fast, iterative cycles of product agility

- Experience in financial industry services
- Strong business analytics background
- Professional scrum product owner
- Excellent communication and presentation skills

Candidates must be able to physically work in our Plano, TX office 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined and communicated by direct management.
