Job Description
iFIT's vision is to create the world's most holistic health and fitness platform, integrating all elements of health - physical fitness, mental health, nutrition and active recovery - into a seamless interactive experience. We develop proprietary software that learns and adjusts to the habits of each person as it delivers immersive content that guides them on their own individual fitness journey.
We are currently seeking an ambitious pace-setter to join our team as a Regulatory Compliance Engineer working onsite out of our Logan, UT offices.
Compensation: $74,000 - $78,000
ROLE COMMITMENTS
  • Provide Regulatory Compliance guidance in relation to wireless and safety industry standards.
  • Facilitate necessary requirements to maintain proper lab and personal accreditations.
  • Test and provide insight to the design group on product requirements and regulations from a component level to end product level.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Initiate, plan, submit, complete and manage Regulatory Compliance testing and product safety and or wireless certification (files) of end products and associated sub component electronics (circuit boards, controllers, motors, monitors, computers, wireless devices).
  • Provide project management for all aspects of product safety and wireless certifications.
  • Work directly with certifying bodies and laboratories such as UL, ETL, TÜV, Bureau Veritas, in all aspects, to obtain and maintain conformity marks.
  • Advise Safety, Engineering and Operations teams on safety regulations and Regulatory Compliance concerns relating to process and product design, providing updates to their design guidelines.
  • Determine applicable certification and necessary agency marks for various countries outside of the US, etc.
  • Manage and facilitate ongoing product safety, (factory) inspections, in China, Taiwan, Vietnam and in the United States.
  • Perform conformity assessments, safety evaluations on new concept design reviews and internal quality audits per ISO 9001.
  • Conduct and manage applicable testing to the following European Directives: Low Voltage Directive / Machinery Directives / EMC Directives etc.
  • Issue and sign Declarations of Conformity to requirements of countries outside of the US.
  • Develop Test Plans, new test protocols, and product performance parameters; component, sub-system, and product level, to show compliance to most applicable standards.
  • Perform safety risk assessments, Regulatory Compliance reviews and operation process reviews; participate in new standards development.
  • Occasional travel to perform testing functions at offsite test facilities.
  • Continued education regarding ever changing requirements by maintaining comprehensive knowledge in new standards, directives or regulations.

Desired Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience
Education and Basic Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical standards, drawings and document
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Great written and verbal communication.
  • Experience and familiar with ISO 9001 standards
  • Ability to work within a team as well as be self-motivated.
