JOB SUMMARY
The Central Registration Clerk is responsible for obtaining information to register services. There are three types of registration: face to face, over the phone and clinical. Quickness, accuracy and effective communication are needed to gather information to be assimilated into the hospital system.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school graduate or equivalent. Medical terminology required.
Training and Experience
- Previous physician office or medical facility experience, including insurance background required.
- Medical terminology required.
- Computer experience, good data entry skills are needed.
- Must have good communication and telephone skills, the ability to deal with the general public in a professional and courteous manner and the ability to exercise independent judgment.
