POSITION TITLE: Registration Coordinator
STATUS: Full-Time (RF Status - 80 Hours/Pay Period)
DAY/SHIFT/HOURS: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm

As a Registration Coordinatorat Union Hospital, you will:
- Assist the Manager of Patient Access & Services with coordinating complete, accurate and timely registrations ensuring accurate billing.
- Maintain management reports as assigned and provides timely and relevant information to all employees with respect to registration and patient access responsibilities.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and administers staff orientations/training, ongoing education programs and development courses in all areas of responsibility.
- Oversee collection and auditing of registration information to ensure clean claims. Collaborates with PFS, HIMS and IS for all communications and information gathering activities.
- Maintain a collegial and cooperative relationship with other management members, working collaboratively as a team.
- Maintain a close working relationship with medical and office staff.
- Assist with departmental policies and processes; assists staff with daily operational issues.
- Responsible for facilitating the concerted efforts of assigned team to achieve and sustain desirable levels of internal and external customer service, regulatory compliance, and financial performance within the revenue cycle.
- Serves as a mentor and role model for fellow team members through demonstrating an outstanding work ethic, superior technical knowledge, and concern for the values and mission of the hospital.
- Performs technical aspects of work (80%) within team area of responsibility.

Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience:
- Previous experience in equivalent position, preferably in a hospital or health care setting
Complexity of Work:
- Basic PC, typing, and data entry skills
- Knowledge of health care environment, health insurance, medical terminology preferred
