Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as the college Registration Coordinator. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the student registration process, ensuring its smooth and efficient operation. You will work closely with the Associate Director of Registration and Compliance and collaborate with various departments to provide excellent service to our students. You will also help craft communications to go to our students to provide clarity on the process and expectations that will need to be met to qualify for registration.
Responsibilities:
Planning and Coordination:
- Develop and implement annual registration plans, schedules, and timelines.
- Identify and manage resources necessary for successful registration processes (e.g., technology, personnel, marketing).
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure successful registration. This would include, but not be limited to: regional and campus academic leaders, clinical teams, scheduling, registrars, student support staff, IT, admissions, and operations.
- Coordinate all communications to the students relative to registration
Process Management:
- Oversee the entire student registration process, including course selection, publishing of the schedule, set up of registration groups, placement appeals, and waitlist management (including add/drop requests).
- Develop and implement procedures for handling registration exceptions and special circumstances.
- Manage waitlists and allocation of available course seats effectively.
- Monitor and address registration-related issues and student inquiries promptly and efficiently.
- Work with registrars on support coverage provided online during registration.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date registration data and records.
- Generate reports on registration patterns, trends, and enrollment statistics.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimize the registration process.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work effectively with the Associate Director of Registration and Compliance, registrars, schedulers, faculty, academic departments, IT, marketing, and students.
- Communicate clearly and concisely regarding registration policies, procedures, and updates.
- Coordinate events to promote Registration Compliance and Awareness.
- Represent the Office of Academic Records on relevant committees and initiatives.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years’ experience utilizing a Student Information System.
- Previous experience working across departments.
- Strong Microsoft Excel Skills Preferred.
- Extreme attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nursing, Education, Business Administration) or a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in higher education registration.
- Proven experience in managing complex operational processes and projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and student information systems.
- Understanding of and commitment to compliance with federal and state regulations governing student records.
