Registered Veterinary Technician opening at Park Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care, located in Durham, NC. We only use our RVT's to perform surgeries and sedations. We do not allow non-licensed person (s) to perform RVT duties per our AAHA Standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Have a positive and fun time at work

Performs all duties in accordance with government regulations and hospital policies and procedures

Performs emergency procedures as directed by the veterinarian.

Administers SQ, IM and IV injections.

Perform radiographs

IV catheter placement

Phlebotomy

Restraint

In-house diagnostics including microscopy

Surgery/anesthesia monitoring

Dental scaling, polishing, radiographs

Excellent customer service skills

Client education

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced setting

Computer skills; experience with Idexx Cornerstone a plus
