The Vascular Technologists' duties may include the following:
· Perform Vascular diagnostics studies. This may include:
- Arterial, Venous, Carotid, Aortic duplex studies,
- Venous Reflux studies,
- Post procedure surveillance for PVD, Venous ablation and Aortic stent graft.
- Enter preliminary report in our easy to use reporting system.
- Assist in Vein Ablation procedures.
- Occasional assistance in Ultrasound guided access for Interventional Vascular procedures in our Outpatient Procedure Suite.
· Please note that prior experience or participation in all of the procedures listed above is not required. We will train you in any of the following if you do not have experience and wish to advance your skill set.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a program in vascular technology and certification as a Vascular Technologist is required (RVT).
- Knowledge and correct use of body mechanics.
- Current CPR certification.
- Patient-centered with the interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with patients, physicians, and others.
- The communication skills necessary to present information in a clear, concise and persuasive manner.
