Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment and Treatment:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' respiratory conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans.
• Administer respiratory therapies, medications, and interventions as prescribed.
• Ventilator Management:
• Monitor and manage mechanical ventilation for critically ill patients.
• Adjust ventilator settings based on patient response and clinical indicators.
• Patient Education:
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions and self-management techniques.
• Provide guidance on the use of respiratory equipment and medications.
• Collaboration with Healthcare Team:
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Communicate effectively to ensure comprehensive and integrated care.
• Emergency Response:
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as cardiac arrests or respiratory failure.
• Administer emergency respiratory care and actively participate in code blue response.
• Documentation and Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and documentation requirements.
• Quality Improvement:
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of respiratory care services.
• Stay informed about advancements in respiratory therapy and implement best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field (required).
• Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) as per state regulations.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
