Summary/Objective
The Registered Radiology Tech is responsible for accurately and efficiently performing Imaging exams according to physicians order and protocols. This Clinical position requires skills and experience in imaging and knowledge of the anatomy. The Registered Radiology Tech must support the mission of providing Sacred Work to all who enter the doors of Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.
Essential Job Duties

1. Perform radiography and portable exams proficiently and safely.Must possess basic knowledge of anatomy, skeleton, gastrointestinal, pulmonary and other systems and have knowledge of sterile techniques as it relates and applies to radiographic studies.
2. Apply principles of radiation safety in all areas of use applying the ALAR concept; minimizing repeats, using safety devises, etc.
3. Completes data entry in both PACS/RIS including histories, fluoro time documentation, contrast documentation, patient dose history and thoroughly reviews orders and consents as applicable.
4. Preform fluoroscopy procedures proficiently and is competent in setting up sterile trays and assisting physician with fluoro exams.
5. Perform radiography proficiently in all areas including C-arm operations in surgery.
6. Participate in clinical oversight of student trainees.
   Required Education and Experience
   Current Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience.
