Position Overview:
Provides holistic and compassionate nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team to clients with Eating Disorders and other comorbid disorders in an inpatient or residential higher level of care (HLOC) setting.
Schedule:
- Full-time (32 hours/week) - 8 hour shifts
- Shift: 2pm-10:30pm
- Weekends required 2x month.
How Nurses Empower Recovery:
- Provides client care through assessment, monitoring, and intervention to address health concerns appropriately
- Provides medication management including education, assessing adherence, administration in the inpatient and residential setting only, and monitoring for side effects in collaboration with provider
- Assists and supports medical and psychiatric providers with medical care coordination
- Provides medical care coordination between patient, provider, staff, family and outside care agencies as needed
- Serves as a staff resource for client medical needs and information
- Partners with the treatment team to create the appropriate treatment plan for each client
Qualifications:
- Licensed as an RN or LPN in Ohio
- Must have valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive
- Current Basic Life Support certification required (American Heart Association) within 30 days from date of hire
- Experience or strong desire to work in a mental health setting

Position Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides client care through assessment, monitoring, and intervention to address health concerns appropriately
- Responsible with medication management including education, assessing adherence, administration in the residential setting, and monitoring for side effects in collaboration with provider
- Assists and support medical and psychiatric providers with medical care coordination
- Provides medical care coordination between patient, provider, staff, family and outside care agencies as needed
- Serves as a staff resource for client medical needs and information and attends treatment meetings as applicable
- Adheres to policies and procedures as defined by the various programs including maintaining client confidentiality and client rights
- Recognizes and appropriately responds to medical and psychiatric to emergencies
- Responsible for accurate and timely documentation in the client medical record
- Ability to take initiative, utilize critical thinking skills, and resource to work autonomously
- Partners with team effectively to maximize performance through use of communication skills, knowledge of team dynamics, and adaptation to change to ensure high quality of care
- Drive clients, staff, and supplies in the company vehicle as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Residential:
- Participate actively in milieu management which could include involvement in groups, outings, mealtimes, and therapeutic interventions
- Adheres to residential site specific license supervision requirements
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited course of study in nursing required
- Licensed as an RN in the state of employment
- Must have valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive.

- Experience or strong desire to work in a mental health setting
Workplace Environment:
- Standing 50-60% and Sitting 50-60%.
- Working at a computer 70% of the day.
- Bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping or crouching when appropriate, on occasion.
