Job Description:
SCOPE: Coordinates patient care requests by phone for all physicians and serves as a resource to staff. Reviews all incoming faxes to the office. Answers pharmacy calls & medication refill requests. Coordinates physician orders (i.e., home health, hospice, hospital, etc). Handles emergency calls on the designated emergency line. Serves as liaison between physician and other facilities and between physician and patient.
FUNCTIONS:
1. Triage patient calls
2. Oral Chemotherapy and Medication Orders
3. Coordinate patient care and documents
4. Perform Nursing Duties
5. Serves as resource for all staff
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Nursing degree required, Bachelor’s preferred
- Phone triage experience required
- Oncology experience preferred
- Registered Nursing license active in the state of Louisiana
- OCN/ONS Certification highly preferred
- BLS CPR required
