Overview:
Position Overview: Housing Works is seeking an RN supervisor for a new Mobile COVID Vaccination Initiative operated in partnership with NYC Human Resources Administration (HRA). Under the Mobile COVID Vaccination Initiative, mobile vaccination teams will travel to different HRA service locations, primarily in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Bronx, to administer COVID vaccines to clients and staff of facilities such as congregate residences, transitional housing programs, and domestic violence shelters. Under the direction of the Medical Director, the RN supervisor is responsible for providing clinical oversight at the vaccination locations, ensuring that vaccination activities are in compliance with regulatory requirements and clinical best practices. The RN supervisor will provide support, guidance and direction to RN's, MA's and other clinical team members as needed, and will assist with vaccine administration as needed. The RN supervisor will assist with monitoring patients for post vaccine reactions and providing intervention. The RN supervisor will also be cross trained to assist with the Mobile Testing Initiative as needed. RN supervisor Housing Works provides all employees with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) needed to adhere to infection control guidelines and offers vaccinations to its front-line workers on a voluntary basis
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction to a team of field RNs engaged in mobile COVID testing and vaccination activities.
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting open communication and teamwork.
Develop and implement training programs for field RNs on COVID rapid testing procedures, vaccine administration protocols, and safety measures.
Ensure that all team members are up to date with the latest guidelines and best practices related to COVID testing and vaccination.
Monitor and evaluate the quality and accuracy of mobile COVID testing and vaccine administration by conducting regular audits and assessments between different mobile teams.
Provide constructive feedback and guidance to RNs to improve their performance.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and protocols related to COVID testing and vaccination.
Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure adequate supplies and equipment availability.
Promote and enforce strict infection control measures to minimize the risk of COVID transmission during testing and vaccination.
Address any safety concerns promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure that patients receiving COVID tests and vaccines are treated with care, compassion, and respect.
Address any patient concerns or complaints and provide appropriate resolutions.
Oversee the accurate and secure recording of patient data, test results, and vaccine administrations.
Collaborate with data management teams to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.
Develop and communicate emergency response protocols for unexpected situations, such as adverse reactions to vaccines or equipment failures.
Ensure that RNs are trained and prepared to handle emergencies effectively.
Implement changes and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Maintain effective communication channels with the Medical Director and the team.

Qualifications
Must be a Registered Nurse, licensed by the State of New York. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Experience with persons with HIV/AIDS, histories of substance use and/or mental illness a plus. Experience working in a setting that promotes interdisciplinary care planning. Bachelor's degree preferred. Bilingual preferred (Spanish/ English). Current CPR certification.
