Job description
The RN Supervisor is responsible for nursing oversight from admissions through discharge of homecare clients served. This oversight will include supervision of caregivers as required by regulation or contract and personnel management associated with the service delivery. The RN Supervisor is also responsible for the orientation and ongoing evaluation of homecare caregivers. Critical to this role is the assurance of skills and competency of caregivers. This position will include ongoing caregiver development through education and training under the direction of the Agency Director. Must be available to work at least two days per week.
Status: Part-Time, Per-Diem, Contract
Shift: Flexible schedule (Day Shift) Between 9am and 5pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Not Limited to):
- Provides orientation, training, and in-services to care providers.
- Performs admissions and supervisory visits.
- Provides supervisory oversight for a specific client or caregiver as directed by regulations.
- Collaborates with the nursing team to perform documentation review.
- Provides education to team members, patients, family members of patients, caregivers, and referral sources.
- Manages caregivers while on assignment; assesses and investigates caregiver concerns and issues, and provides performance coaching, counseling and disciplinary action when appropriate.
- Participates in quality initiative activities.
- Rotates on-call responsibilities with other RN Supervisors per a schedule established by the office.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
- Active North Carolina RN license required.
- Minimum one year experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
- Must meet all federal, state, local contract and program requirements, in addition to internal certifications and training, as required.
- Professional Demeanor and Time Management Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in quality management preferred.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office.
