State Hospital North (Orofino) is seeking applicants for aRegistered Nurse, Senior. Nurses provide psychiatric inpatient treatment care for Idaho's adult citizens with the most serious and persistent mental illnesses. This position will supervise Registered Nurses and Psychiatric Technicians, this position will work closely with the Nurse Manager and Director of Nursing Services to implement and communicate State Hospital North directives. State Hospital North in Orofino, Idaho, is a licensed 60-bed psychiatric hospital providing primarily involuntary inpatient treatment for adults in psychiatric crisis who are committed to the Department of Health and Welfare. State Hospital North collaborates with patients, their families, and the referring regional behavioral health centers to develop targeted goals and objectives for the individual's treatment episode while simultaneously focusing on critical supports and arrangements for follow-up care after discharge.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

+ Performs lead professional nursing within a specialized program with responsibility for staff or program oversight.

+ Serves as administrative charge nurse for an entire facility, with on-call backup.

+ Monitors staffing and scheduling throughout the facility.

+ Provides and oversees safe patient care delivery.

+ Provides orientation and growth directed assistance with new employees and mentors/coaches staff as needed.

+ Supervise and manage employees' performance and training.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. + Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.Requires Idaho state licensure as a Registered Nurse pursuant to Idaho code 54-1408ORstate licensure as a Registered Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code 54-1418. + Experience performing nursing assessments and developing and implementing nursing care plans. Typically gained by at least six months work experience.
