Registered Nurse (Rn)

As a Registered Nurse for our surgical clinical trials team, you will play a critical role in the execution of cutting-edge research initiatives. You will work closely with surgeons, research coordinators, and patients to ensure the success of various surgical studies, which may include pre-op assessments, post-op monitoring, medication administration, and other research-related responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments of study participants, including medical history reviews and vital sign measurements.
• Monitor and document patient status during surgical procedures, ensuring the collection of accurate data for research purposes.
• Collaborate with research coordinators, surgeons, and fellow nurses to ensure the smooth execution of clinical research protocols.
• Administer IV, IM, SC, and oral medications in accordance with physician's orders and study protocol.
• Implement evidence-based nursing practices to provide high-quality patient care.
• Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting for ongoing clinical research studies.
• Adhere to ethical and regulatory standards in research and patient care.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license in the state of California.
• Strong clinical background, preferably in surgical nursing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Experience in clinical research is a plus but not required.

Shifts:

This position requires a flexible schedule that includes nights and early morning shifts to accommodate pre-operative patient assessments and observation. Shifts are typically 12 hours, mornings or nights depending on availability (7:00AM-7:00PM or 7:00PM-7:00AM). Current surgery days are Saturdays and some Tuesdays.

Job Types: Contract, PRN

Pay: $35.00 - $43.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 24 per week
