Registered Nurse (Rn) - Upper East Side Dermatology Private Practice

Personable, hardworking, experienced professional nurse needed for surgical and cosmetic Dermatology Private Practice on the Upper East Side, Manhattan, NY. Prior dermatology/laser/plastic surgery experience preferred.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: The ideal candidate is a team player with great energy and excellent organizational skills, an exceptional collaborator and communicator, and has a strong interest in dermatology and skincare.

Responsibilities include:

• Works side-by-side with physician to assess, diagnose, and treat patients
• Documents history and physical, and completes EMR notes according to practice guidelines
• Pre- and post-treatment patient assessment
• Educates patient about treatments, prescriptions, and procedures
• Facilitates proper billing
• Participates in daily operations of the practice, including medical supply inventory and purchasing, room stocking, and laser maintenance
• Maintains pathology logs, laboratory results, and documents patient follow-up
• Takes pre- and post-treatment digital photographs
• Stays current with all written protocols for clinical operating procedure
• Ensures OSHA, CLIA, and Laser Safety manuals are up-to-date
• Participates in clinical study coordination – will receive onsite training
• Participates in continuing education

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in Dermatology or Plastic Surgery clinical practice setting preferred
• Familiarity with dermatology, cosmetic/laser procedures, and skin surgery is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Positive attitude, compassionate caregiver
• Responsible and detail-oriented
• Excellent leadership and managerial skills and ability to work well with others
• Well organized and good time-management skills
• Proficient in EMR
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• COVID-19 vaccination required

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Current NYS RN licensure required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
