Right at Home Peachtree City is currently seeking PRN RN Supervisor.

*Must have a Current Registered Nurse license from state of GA to be eligible for this position.*

Essential Functions:
The licensed registered professional nurse shall supervise the provision of personal care tasks for clients and for clients determined to be medically frail or medically compromised. The nurse may also supervise companions. Such supervisor may perform other duties provided he or she is able to fulfill the supervisory responsibilities described in these rules.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Current unrestricted State Registered Nurse license and CPR certification.
2. Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
3. One year of continuous nursing experience or equivalent.
4. Ability to meet Agencys bonding criteria. This includes never having been shown by credible evidence to have abused, neglected, sexually assaulted, exploited, or deprived any person or to have subjected any person to serious injury as result of intentional or grossly negligent misconduct as evidenced by the oral or written statement to this effect obtained at the time of application. Further, never having made any material false statements concerning qualification requirements to Agency or the Department of Human Resources.
5. Valid drivers license, available personal vehicle, and proof of current auto insurance.
6. Concise verbal, written, and organizational skills.
7. Five years of verifiable employment history, or a complete employment history if employment hasnt exceeded five years.
8. Administrator of a satisfactory TB screening test upon employment and annually thereafter.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Extensive assessment skills. At least two years of nursing experience, and ACLS certification. At least one year of work in home care industry.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with families, co-workers, and all supervisors.
  2. Including ability to proficiently follow and process written and verbal instructions in the English language.
  3. Hearing and visual capacities sufficient for accurate communication with all clients and co-workers, including assessment and recording of clinical information.
  4. The ability to lift, turn, and transfer clients in need.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervise all caregiver staff by making supervisory visits to each clients place of residence as required by State regulations and provide written documentation of all such visits.
2. Conduct and document competency demonstrations of all PCA providers at least annually for tasks the staff member is required to perform.
3. Adhere to agency infection control and safety procedures by performing and documenting nursing observations, procedures, and interventions in the home according to the established care plan in a safe and competent manner.
4. Effectively communicate and interact with clients/caregivers and families in a supportive manner.
5. Management of client caseload and associated or other delegated work responsibilities in an effective manner within the resources of the agency and according to agency standards.
6. Interpretation of Agency programs and policies as appropriate to clients and members of the community.
7. Participates in the continuing commitment for quality care, including attendance at mandatory agency staff meetings.
8. Appropriately delegate these responsibilities when necessary only to another staff member who is a licensed RN, Physician Assistant, or Physician in the State.

ASSESSMENT AND REASSESSMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Initiation of the Service Plan including the securing and updating of complete and accurate physician orders as needed on a timely basis.
2. Development of Service Plan based on an assessment and identification of the environmental, behavioral, physical, and psychosocial needs of the client/family.
3. Teach, coordinate, and supervise family members and other agency personnel (PCAs, companions, nurses, and administrative staff) in the care of the client.
4. Evaluate client, family, and agency caregiver(s) response and compliance with care. The reassessments will include an assessment of the clients general condition, vital signs, a review of the progress being made, the problems encountered by the client and the clients satisfaction with the services being delivered by the staff. Further, the reassessments will include observations about the appropriateness of the level of services being offered.
5. Update the Care Plan to reflect changes in the client/family needs, abilities, and resources.
6. Interpret and document, on a timely basis, in-home care provided to ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, including all client clinical records.
