Form of workProvide comprehensive medical-forensic care for patients reporting Sexual Assault, strangulation or
domestic violence. Must have good assessment skills and ability to work autonomously. As well as, good
communication skills and the ability to work well with members of the multi-disciplinary team, which
may include advocacy and law enforcement. The forensic nurse may collect evidence during the exam
and be called to testify in court.
- Completion of 41 hour Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner-Adult/Adolescent (SANE-A) course (can also be
done upon hire) required.
