Registered Nurse (Rn)

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

• Interviews and makes initial patient assessment using a holistic approach, including patient knowledge of procedure.
• Provides IV access for IV sedation and hydration.
• Prepares endoscopy treatment room for procedure.
• Documents in electronic medical record.
• Assists physician with endoscopic procedures.
• Monitors vital signs, patient condition and documents accurately and completely pre-, intra- and post-procedures recovery.
• Obtain and label specimens appropriately, follows through to make sure specimen sent out in a timely fashion.
• Understand role responsibility in emergency action policy and respond appropriately.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patient and self.
• Assist with admission and discharge of patient in Endoscopy unit.
• Maintains patient’s right and confidentiality.
• Demonstrates courteous and cooperative behavior in work setting.
• Assists the physician in teaching the patient and family about the patient’s care.
• Complies with attendance policy.'

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
