As a Registered Nurse (RN) with Sierra Neurosurgery Group, you will play a crucial role in providing professional nursing care. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

About the Opportunity:

• Answering all medical and emergent telephone calls and triage.
• Assisting physicians during clinic hours, including pre-op and post-op education, injections, wound checks, and procedures.
• Coordinating prescription refills.
• Assuring quality of care by developing and interpreting hospital and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care
• Enforcing adherence to state board of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements, as well as other governing agency regulations
• Measuring health outcomes against standards and making or recommending adjustments.
• Completing patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff; following up on work results.
• Establishing a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients.
• Maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Preparing reports or additional duties as requested by management.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum: R.N. degree. Must be licensed in Nevada.
• Minimum of twenty-four (24) months’ experience in working in a physician group, practice, or hospital.
• Experience in handling pharmacy requests and approving pharmacy requests.
• Proficiency with practice management software and all Microsoft Office programs.
• Working knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and Worker’s Compensation.
• Effective problem-solving skills and ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and in a calm and pleasant manner.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
