Form of workWe are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse for a Level IV NICU at Inova Fairfax Hospital/ Inova L.J Children's Hospital. Schedule: Full time ( 3-12 hour shifts)- rotating shift (6 weeks Days, 6 week Nights) or Full Time night shift.

Murphy Children's Hospital is an award-winning, full-service children's hospital devoted to the healthcare of infants, children and adolescents in the Northern Virginia area.
Department Specific Information
Inova L. J. Murphy's Children's Hospital is home to the largest, most comprehensive subspecialty neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in the region. Our 108-bed, Level IV NICU cares for high-risk infants requiring specialized care and observation. The NICU is also the first in the nation to receive The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for Prematurity. This certification represents the highest level of care for premature birth patients.

Requirements:
- At least 1 year of RN clinical experience in the Critical Care setting or completion of a Critical Care fellowship.
- 1 - 2 years of NICU experience strongly preferred.
- Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.
- American Heart Association BLS current certification required at start.
- RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN.
- Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.
Proficient computer skills required.
