Job Overview:
As a Registered Nurse Unit Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee the nursing staff and operations within a specific unit or department of a healthcare facility.
Registered Nurse Unit Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluating nurse and medical staff performance
- Maintaining and restoring the health of their patients
- Managing daily treatment schedules
- Enforcing health and safety regulations
- Solving staffing issues and shortages
- Evaluating and adjusting treatment plans based on patient condition
- Ensuring their unit meets federal, state and company guidelines
- Completing admission and discharge forms
- Delivering hands-on care and medication administration as needed
- Communicating procedural issues with the director of nursing and working to correct them.
Certifications:
- Current RN license in MD
- A minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
- BLS certification
- A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse Unit manager experience required
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $42.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
