Form of workColumbia Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Center specializes in colon cancer screening and the treatment of gastrointestinal problems. We proudly serve the Columbia community. We are currently searching for a full-time Registered Nurse/ Licensed Practical Nurse who can work cooperatively with current management, staff, physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Major responsibilities include: maintaining appropriate staffing levels, staffing assignments, and working as endoscopy nurse which includes, but not limited to, preparing patients for procedures; assist physician during procedure; provides care for patients in recovery; and actively participates in all Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities.
Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills, be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, have a current state license to practice as a Registered Nurse, maintain basic cardiac life support certification and ACLS, and have at least two years of operating and emergency experience. Endoscopy or Outpatient surgery experience a plus and computer skills required.
