SalaryMedical clinic in Pearland is looking for a full-time nurse for rooming patients, monitoring vital signs, providing sedation during procedures as well as post-procedure patient care. Procedures will include vascular procedures and minor office based surgeries. Ideal candidate will have ICU or Operating room/recovery or cath lab experience. Please email with CV. Responsibilities include....
- Collaborate with physicians to create a Plan of Care for each patient
- Communicate with physicians, LPNs, radiologists and other medical professionals
- Create and contribute to patients' medical records as needed
- Administer medications, provide sedation
- Track and maintain medical supply inventory along with other staff members
- Consider the age of the patient and his or her emotional stability when determining appropriate treatment
- Counsel patients and family members before, during and after treatment
- Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients and their parents or guardians
Required skills
- Valid nursing license
- Advanced knowledge of EMRs
- Ability to explain treatments and conditions to patients of all ages
- Valid BLS and ACLS certification is a pre-requisite to apply
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
- Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations
- 3+ years' nursing experience, preferably with acute care experience
- Excellent bedside manner and communication skills
