Responsibilities
The Endoscopy nurse works collaboratively with the physician and the anesthesia health care providers to determine patient needs during Endoscopic and GI procedures and to assume responsibility for patient care, document and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing actions and ensure a safe environment of care. The Perioperative endoscopy nurse will be knowledgeable about the scrub and circulation duties performed in the department.

The Endoscopy nurse works collaboratively with the physician and the anesthesia health care providers to determine patient needs during Endoscopic and GI procedures and to assume responsibility for patient care, document and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing actions and ensure a safe environment of care. The Perioperative endoscopy nurse will be knowledgeable about the scrub and circulation duties performed in the department.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Telemetry course
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current state Registered Nurse license
- 1-2 years minimum as Endo RN experience
- Basic life support (BLS).
- Must have NJ License
- ACLS
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Pediatric advanced life support (PALS) preferred
- Certification in specialty preferred
