Registered Nurse (Rn) Emergency Department

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. As an ER Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing immediate and specialized care to patients in critical conditions. This is a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires quick thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' conditions and prioritize care based on the severity of their condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by physicians
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes or abnormalities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding their conditions and treatment options
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- Assist in emergency procedures such as airway management, catheterization, and wound care
- Utilize specialized knowledge in areas such as ophthalmology, hospice palliative medicine, neonatal ventilation, dementia care, family planning, health coaching, physiology knowledge, and DME (Durable Medical Equipment)

Experience:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an Emergency Room setting
- Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols
- Proficient in using electronic medical records systems
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions
- Effective communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Salary: $55.00 - $58.00 per hour
