As the Registered Nurse (RN, CVCU (Cardiac Step-down), you will establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. You will promote and restore the patient's health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families, and supervising assigned team members and promote patient's independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills, and answering questions You will also assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards, making or recommending necessary adjustments, and following nursing philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.
As a CVCU RN, you should have:
- Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Experience in healthcare is preferred.
Summary
- 32 hours/week
- 8 or 12 hour shifts
